Lanzarote
Part of the province of Las Palmas, Lanzarote is the easternmost of the Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean.
Lanzarote has a mild dry climate with temperatures ranging from 21°C
in January to 29°C in August.
The island is known for its volcanic origin . Therefore, several parts of the island are often described as 'lunar' or 'Martian'. Many parts of 'Planet of the Apes' were shot here. One of Lanzarote's main features include the longest volcanic
tunnel in the world, the Atlantida Tunnel, which is over 7 km long and includes the La Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua.
Lanzarote boasts several beautiful white beaches such as Playa Blanca and Papagayo.
