OVERVIEW
In 1890 the travelling botanist, Strobell, visited Argentina on an expedition and stayed in a region he named the "Valley of the Yellow Firewoods". More than 100 years later this valley was choosen to be a ski center. In July of 1983, the center opened with a hotel with 300 beds. Today, Las Lenas features one of the longest slopes in the world (a combination of three intermediate trails) and is one of the largest destination resorts in Argentina.
There are 26 trails for snowboarding. The new Thor 02 terrain park is situated between the Minerva stage and the Minerva 3 trail. The total run is 0.9 miles. There is a boarder cross and 0.3 miles of obstacles, jumps, bumps and much more. Thor 02 features terrain for all abilities.
There are 40 miles of trails, with 12 lifts, including a quad and six doubles. Over half a million acres of off-piste skiing are available. Visitors can also enjoy of mountain climbing, cross country and a tubing park.
