OVERVIEW
The Maltese archipelago, situated in the middle of the Mediterranean, comprises three major islands (Malta, the largest, Gozo and Comino). Their landscape features low hills with terraced fields. Along the coastline there are plenty of harbours, bays, creeks, sandy beaches and rocky coves. Gozo is connected to Malta by ferry.
