Located in the southern part of the Costa Brava, Lloret de Mar is one of the most important tourist centers of the province of Girona. It boasts beautiful sandy beaches, crystal waters, excellent temperatures as well as a busy cultural life.
Some of Lloret de Mar's main tourist attractions include the church of Sant Roma, built in 1522; the hermitage of Santa Cristina, an example of Baroque and Neoclassical combination; and the monument to the Woman Sailor, by Ernest Maragall.
Lloret de Mar's specialties include 'esqueixada' (cod salad), 'escalivada' (cold roast aubergines, onions and peppers) and 'pa amb tomaquet' (bread With tomato) just to name a few.
