Located on the north coast of Majorca Island, Alcudia abound with history since its roots date back to the Phoenicians and Greeks. It also boasts beautiful coves, sandy beaches, crystal waters as well as many fascinating archaeological sites.
The old part of the city features two gates (Xara and Palma) built after the conquest of the island by King Jaime I of Spain, as well as the magnificent city walls.
Some of Alcudia's most important tourist attractions are the churches of Santa Ana and Sant Jaume; the Baroque chapel of Sant Crist, featuring a 15th-century image of Christ; the sanctuary of Mare de Deu de la Victoria; and the City Hall.
In addition, you can visit the Roman city of Pollentia, where you can find a group of houses, a theatre, and a forum. Also worth visiting is La Albufera, a natural park created in 1988.
Alcudia's most important beaches are Playa del Muro and C'an Picafort in the east.
