Located in the Bay of Cadiz, Chiclana de la Frontera mostly belongs to the Cadiz Natural Park, featuring sandy beaches, cork oak groves and pine-covered plains.
One of Chiclana de la Frontera's most important beaches is La Barrosa, popular for its fine sands.
Some of Chiclana de la Frontera's main tourist attractions are the hermitage of Santa Ana, built in the 18th century; the church of San Juan Bautista, from the 19th century; and the castle of Sancti Petri, a military fortress in former times.
